: Both Norinco and Poly-Tech have made M14
: Both Norinco and Poly-Tech have made M14 : Both Norinco and Poly-Tech have made M14 Scope Mounts-type rifles. They are not exactly to spec on all parts, but the receivers are forged, and only need to be properly heat treated to be really nice receivers. Some shooters believe that the Chi-Com rifle parts are actually superior to the Springfield Armory, Inc. cast [...]

I thought $505 for the AR-15 Accessories w / my options and color change on the furniture and shipped was fair. I checked out all the kit’s listed here and went through a recent SGN as well as a few from last month just to be sure I wasn’t missing a “great deal” somewhere. I wanted to avoid any “Hesse” products or companies even though I found what I wanted at Blackthorne. I’m doing my build on a DPMS lower. I’ll give an update as soon as the part’s get here. So here I am once again waiting for the “Brown Truck” !!! Hesse/Vulcan IS Blackthorne. Blackthorne is their new name since they change every few years in attempt to fool the public thinking they are not. Yep, knew that. That’s [...]
Eotech
I honestly hadn’t thought of contacting EOTech – I will do just that. Also, to note- the original “finish” on the underside of the batter compartment (the part that detaches) has since completely detached. This was rather recently (remember, this is a 5 year old sight)- I had pulled it apart and noticed that the plastic/paint coating had COMPLETELY bubbled up and pulled off of the housing. I quickly scraped it off w/ my leatherman, and fortunately there were small battery polarity diagrams underneath it so I still knew how to properly install them. Will contact EOTech and let them know. I will follow up with this post as I get more information. JoelK
M1A Scope Mounts
This concept translates into almost any single thing you buy. Why buy the good soft TP for your butt when you can go get some crate paper and it accomplishes the same thing and is nearly free? Why buy a Rolex when you can go buy a Casio that accomplishes the same thing, can last for years and is 1/100th the cost? It’s just about buying something you want, that’s nice and has excellent quality because you can. This concept is universal. Why try to chase and impress the smokin’ hot chick you have been lusting over, when you can settle for the fat ugly chick who will do it for free? By the way the M110 is an AR10 type that will run you around $10-$12K…I have been contemplating getting one for my SOCOM. Are they worth it? I know the Sage is out there as well as the some others, but I like the VLTOR. I want a shortened LOP. I don’t have monkey arms so a shorter stock would be welcomed. Max Milo5 [Member] 9/6/2009 7:54:25 PM Troy, SAGE, And VLTOR, all offer a shortened length of pull through the use of collapsible stock assemblies. SAGE can [...]
M14 Scope Mounts
It’s easiest for me to lock the bolt open, insert the mag and rock it back to lock it in place. Then I release the bolt and let the first round strip out of the mag into the chamber. Be sure to check the safety – I let a friend shoot my rifle(newbie to M14 Scope Mounts rifles) and he darn near tried to break the trigger off pulling on the thing trying to make the rifle go bang – he had the safety on. Remember a good crisp trigger pull – no “milking” like you would with a bench rifle. Speaking of benches – I bought a shooting mat so I can shoot prone (with and without a bi-pod). I also shoot sitting, and off-hand. Don’t use the bench all the time – these are battle rifles – it’s more satisfying and fun to shoot them the way they were intended to be used. Unless you’re saving them for some reason, try out all of your mags for functioning before you lock them up in the safe. If you do use the bench for sighting, groups, etc. I recommend using your range bag rather than a bipod or BR [...]
